Pope Leo XIV, 71, has resumed duties from his hospital room, the Vatican confirmed on Thursday. He received Archbishop Paolo Rudelli, the Vatican’s deputy chief of staff, on Thursday afternoon. As Substitute for General Affairs at the Secretariat of State, Rudelli oversees much of the Holy See’s daily administration. Doctors Luigi Carbone and Stefano Margaritora reported that Thursday morning’s routine medical check-ups yielded normal results. A chest X-ray showed good recovery of the operated lung. According to the medical team, the Pope can carry out daily activities independently. His physiotherapy has progressed beyond breathing exercises to include a full range of physical movements. “Overall, the post-operative recovery is progressing as expected,” the doctors stated in Thursday’s medical bulletin.

BAPTIST PASTOR ASKS KIDS TO SMASH STATUES OF MARY | SG News There is something profoundly disturbing about watching children being encouraged to destroy an image of the Blessed Virgin Mary while adults look on approvingly. Not because Catholics believe a statue is God. Not because a piece of plaster or stone possesses divine power. But because of what such an act teaches a child about faith, about other Christians, and about the woman whom Scripture itself calls blessed among women. At Stedfast Baptist Church in Cedar Hill, Texas, that troubling lesson became part of a church activity. According to LifeSiteNews, pastor Jonathan Shelley permitted children to smash statues depicting the Virgin Mary and angels during a church gathering, using the destruction as a reward in a “Bible drills” exercise. Videos shared by Shelley through his X account, @bannedpastor, on October 12 and 13 reportedly show children striking Catholic religious statues with a hammer in front of the congregation …More
China unilaterally chooses a bishop, and Leo XIV retroactively “appoints” him. The Vatican press service announced today that Father Ignatius Ding Zuyao, 40, was consecrated Bishop of Haimen, in China's Jiangsu province. He is now the youngest bishop worldwide. Leo XIV reportedly confirmed his appointment on 24 August 2026. However, Ding was selected unilateral on 14 May 2026 by the Chinese selection process - 102 days before the alleged "appointment" by Leo XIV. Ding was consecrated by Bishop Joseph Shen Bin of Shanghai. The latter is vice-president of the Chinese governmental ‘Patriotic Association’. During Ding's consecration, the secretary-general of the Chinese Bishops' Conference read the approval document issued by that body. During an episcopal consecration in the Church, the papal bull is read - not so today. Furthermore, AsiaNews.it highlights a pattern in China's episcopal appointments. Ding is the youngest bishop in the world. Four of the five bishops appointed in China in …More
Mt 22:14 “For many are called, but few are chosen.” In the end, the remaining chosen ones will be the traditionalists who follow sacred tradition and who have kept the faith despite excommunications (see the case of St. Athanasius of Alexandria with Pope Liberius and the excommunication).
Handing children hammers and encouraging them to smash statues of the Blessed Virgin Mary is not Christian formation. It is a grotesque spectacle of religious fanaticism, a disgraceful abuse of pastoral responsibility, and a scandal that ought to horrify Christians of every denomination.
"We got a Mary, for all the Catholics." At Steadfast Baptist Church, pastor Jonathan Shelley leads the kids into 'bible drills,' with the winner rewarded with smashing statues of Mary and various angelic figures.
Leo XIV has spent another peaceful night at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital following lung cancer surgery, the Vatican announced today. Pope Leo XIV got up, had breakfast and continues to recover as expected. He has resumed walking, eating regular meals and undergoing respiratory physiotherapy. On Wednesday evening, he also concelebrated Mass in a room near his hospital room. Despite the surgery, Pope Leo still intends to travel to Uruguay, Argentina and Peru from November 6-17, Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni confirmed yesterday. The ambitious 12-day journey, the longest of his pontificate, includes numerous flights and a visit to the high-altitude city of Cusco. It is scheduled to begin just 24 days after his operation. It raises questions about whether the Pope will be fit enough to undertake such a demanding itinerary. Peruvian President Keiko Fujimori has acknowledged that adjustments may be necessary depending on his recovery. Cardinal Isao Kikuchi has said Leo XIV deliberately scheduled …More
Who cares what the false prophet ate for breakfast and did he poo or pee. We should care about the souls he's been destroying and the Church he's been wrecking to pieces
“Concerning ‘irregular’ relationships, I find our Catholic communities normally embrace these maturely and well.” — Bishop Erik Varden on the Vatican’s ‘Amoris laetitia’ meeting
When you love our Lord you don’t think if it is Novus Ordo or Tridentine, you welcome Him like this child did. * * * * "Oh dear Lord, make new saints throughout the world, give us the sound desire to melt in Your Love, and make us little before You." Amen * * Servant of God, Manuel Fodera, pray for us! Amen.
Bebo’s FriendsThe UK’s outreach to Brussels, supported by Andy Burnham, has brought back into focus allegations of Russian interference in Brexit, even as the move aims to foster a closer relationship with the EU. However, he denied having claimed that Russia interfered in the Brexit referendum process or altered the vote’s outcome — a denial that follows a report by British intelligence services indicating that no such interference took place.
They don't have proof. So what do they do? Make up another lie that might be believed. Anyone ever ask where is the proof? There is none. No one who has ever accused Russia of something can prove a thing. In fact it always ends up that those who did the accusing are the ones who did what they accused Russia of doing.
