Abbot Geoffroy Kemlin of the Abbey Saint-Pierre, Solesmes, France, has proposed to insert the old Latin Mass into the current Roman Missal, creating one missal containing two forms. The Novus Ordo should remain unchanged. He has sent his proposal in a letter to Leo XIV on November 12, 2025. Abbot Kemlin explicitly frames this as a response to the global liturgical dispute (including France, United States, England, Germany) and an effort to restore unity in the Church.
