The traditional Mass has been celebrated there since 2006. St Agnes became the St Joseph Personal Parish for the traditional rite in 2013.

In 1947, Italian nurse and postulant Pierina Gilli reported a series of apparitions of the Blessed Virgin in Montichiari, Italy. In one, Gilli said Mary appeared with three swords piercing her heart, symbolizing the suffering and spiritual failures among priests and religious. In a later vision, the swords were replaced by three roses — white, red and yellow — representing prayer, sacrifice and penance. She reported another series of apparitions in 1966 in nearby Fontanelle. This morning, Pope Leo XIV arrived in San Marino, where he was received by the Captains Regent, Alice Mina and Vladimiro Selva, as the Republic and the Holy See mark 100 years of diplomatic relations. At the Basilica of San Marino, he venerated the relics of St. Marinus, the country’s patron saint. He will then continue to Rimini for the Meeting for Friendship Among Peoples, stopping along the way at the Augustinian nuns’ monastery in Pennabilli.

On 21 September, the UN International Day of Peace, St Peter's Basilica ’s will play Sounds of Loss, an international audio installation by German filmmaker Philip Gröning. For 49 hours, 1,096 prerecorded clicks and taps will sound at irregular intervals, each intended to represent a person killed in war. Gröning and his team recorded more than 24,000 sounds - from clocks, light switches, locks, pencils and other everyday objects.
